These terms apply to your use of this website and to products sold by Freedom Digital LLC (“we,” “us”).

1. Agreement

By using this website or buying our products, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or buy our products.

2. Purchases

Our digital products are sold through third-party stores. Pricing, checkout, payment, taxes, and delivery are handled by the store you buy from, and that store’s own terms and policies also apply to your purchase. We are not responsible for the stores’ platforms or policies.

3. License to use our products

When you buy a digital product from us, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it for your own records or, if you bought it for a club or organization, for that organization’s records. Other officers of that organization may use your copy. You may make backup copies for yourself.

Forms. If you buy a form or template, such as the membership application, you may give unlimited copies of your finished form to your own club’s members and applicants. Please leave the small credit line in the footer.

You may not resell, give away, sublicense, or publicly post our products or any part of them, and please do not share the original files outside your club or organization. You may not present them as your own work or use them to create a competing product for sale.

4. Ownership

We keep all rights in our products, website, names, and logos. Buying a product gives you a license to use it, not ownership of it or of our intellectual property.

5. Using the website

Please use the website lawfully. Do not try to disrupt it, break its security, or use it in a way that harms others.

6. Not professional advice

Our products, including spreadsheets and ledgers, are tools. They are not accounting, tax, legal, or financial advice. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter, for the records you keep, and for meeting any legal or tax requirements that apply to you. Please consult a qualified professional when you need advice.

7. Compatibility and your data

Some products may use macros or scripts, and may need particular software or versions to work. We do not guarantee that a product will work with every device or software version. Please keep your own backups of your data.

9. Apps

Apps and online services we release, such as Chalkfolio, have their own terms of service and privacy policy, provided with the app and on its website. For Chalkfolio, see its Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Those terms apply to the app and to payments made in the app. If they differ from this page, the app’s terms apply to the app.

10. No warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website and our products are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Freedom Digital LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or lost data, arising from your use of the website or our products. Our total liability for any claim relating to a product is limited to the amount you paid for that product. Some places do not allow certain limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, and any dispute will be handled in the courts located in Illinois, unless the law requires otherwise.

13. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last changed. Continuing to use the website or our products after a change means you accept the updated terms.
